Encouraging Student Achievement, Promoting Educational Excellence
An Evening for Education Sets New Attendance Mark
A record 155 people showed their support for Lake Orion Community Schools by attending the ninth annual Evening for Education, hosted by the Lake Orion Education Foundation (LOEF).
The Lake Orion Education Foundation funds opportunities that encourage student achievement and promote educational excellence for students of Lake Orion Community Schools.
The Lake Orion Education Foundation (LOEF) was revitalized in 2005. The Foundation is a non-profit organization created by friends and supporters of the Lake Orion Community School District to enhance and enrich the educational opportunities offered to children.
Funds donated to the Lake Orion Education Foundation will be used to enhance educational opportunities for all Lake Orion Community School District students at the discretion of the Board of Trustees. LOEF awards grants to teachers for classroom materials. Additionally, LOEF is a partner with Lake Orion Schools to implement the district-wide bullying prevention program, Olweus.
The Lake Orion Education Foundation Board of Trustees invites program and goal suggestions from members of the community and Lake Orion Community School District staff and students.
